Today was a big day - a great day! I went to see Euan Craig talk about his experiences of living and working as a potter in Japan. He gave us a brilliant power point presentation of how he became a potter, moved to Japan, studied, worked and then how he and his family survived the recent earthquake. Euan's quiet. poetic and sincere approach to his life and work was inspirational. Following this moving presentation was a demonstration that held his audience spellbound. Thank you Euan for a great day and to the Australian Ceramics Association for organising it.

No doubt about it Kate Connors has masses of talent and I confess to being one of her biggest fans. I adore her smoky smart bathroom in the photos below and the stylish moody bedroom is to die for.
Lucky for me she sometimes incorporates my pots into her work as you can see in these photos below. I am amazed by the way she can take a piece and transform it by placing it in just the right company.
I for one will be watching Kate's new website with keen interest: http://www.kateconnors.com/

The Milk Factory gallery in Bowral opened a superb exhibition of Philip Turton's delightful still life paintings on Saturday and included some of my pots to compliment the work. I think Shirley did a superb job of putting the work together!

The attraction of the matt, pastel. powdery finish of work waiting to go into the kiln is always appealing.
Working through some new glazing ideas for Potier on these bottles.
A cheerful riot of colour greeted me when I popped into see Julie and the girls in their super new space in William Street last week. It was an absolute hive of activity with phones ringing, customers popping in, shelves being built and in the midst of it all the unmistakable Cloth image and style looked great! Pots looked cute in there too!
Clever Jenny Boustred asked me to make some tags to suit the incredibly innovative theme she was using for an upcoming wedding. The result I think speaks for it's self! Brilliant work Jenny and I am delighted to have played a very small part to help you achieve it!
HAZEL WALKER FROM QUEENSLAND!
Matt Brown loves this shot of a cheesebaker - and so do I! It suggests a party is about to happen and looks mouthwateringly good!
Congratulations on a great job and thank you so much for taking such a great photo!
Only one more sleep before the winner of the competition is announced. So many good photos - I know that Matt Brown has been enjoying perusing them all before making his final desicion. I can't wait!!!!
