Competition starts today!

Once pots have left my studio I often wonder how people use them. So Iʼve decided to run a photographic competition: you send me photos of any Katherine Mahoney pot “at work”…maybe you have a salad bowl that is perfect for a certain salad or a piece that just looks perfect sitting on a window sill in the morning light, holding a flower, or filled to the brim with luscious green apples! A piece that performs a function beautifully for you is what I would really love to see.
The good news is that the winner will win a one of my handthrown salad bowls!
I’m delighted that Providore Matt Brown from Matt Brown Greens will be the judge – his eye for style is certainly well honed!
The competition opens on February 8th and closes on March 31st. The winner will be announced on Thursday 5th April on my website and blog.

We collaborated on the design of these bright vessels and after much discussion and tweaking came up with the above.
